Amad University was a Thythryn university located in the city of Mavyn, Thythr. Despite Thythr being underdeveloped for all but its most recent history, the Amad University had established itself as one of the most prestigious and productive educational institutions on Eradin. Many of those implements and devices using Divine Spirit, even long before the First Upheaval of Mantis, had been developed here. Other schools of knowledge found their place here too: from social studies to geology.
During the First Upheaval of Mantis, it was one of the first steady holds of the Mantis and also the birthplace of the first Divine Harvest in the year 98: Yami, the Scholar.
In 101, its entire didactic focus was changed to solely being for research of viable applications of Divine Spirit and stabilising Divine Harvests; to the disdain of many scholars of different schools.

Structure

Amad University consists of its students and professors. In Thythryn fashion, Amad University is headed by an Ashtur, a type of democratic council; similarly to the Thythryn government itself.
The university Ashtur is a democratic assembly of all professors who vote representatives among themselves into an Executive Committee. Students are not eligible to vote. The Executive Committee, up to seven capable professors strong, is the body that actually decides upon operations; even though their decisions are bound to the consensus in the entire Ashtur.

Public Agenda

Before the year 101, Amad University's mission statement, as quoted in its manifest, used to be: "The eternal purpose of Amad University and its subjects is the conquest of knowledge, practical and theoretical; in focus of universal betterment of man."
Since the year 101, its stated mission, per decree of the Thythryn High Council, is: "Amad University is the principal institution to lead research into the practical application of the subjugation of God: To use Divine Harvesting in order to serve the Republic and its people's interests."

Assets

Amad University owns a large campus in the city of Mavyn and several field research outposts scattered across the entire country specialising in various observation missions. That allows young adults even from rural areas to become students.
