Library of Babel
Based on Jorge Luis Borges' short story "La biblioteca de Babel" (The Library of Babel)
The Library of Babel is an infinite structure. Each room within it is a hexagon, with an entrance wall, four walls of books, and a wall with what is needed for human survival. The books contain every way to organize 22 letters, a comma, space, and period.
In the infinite rooms are an infinite number of patrons and librarians, though it is as likely as not that you will enter an empty room.

Alterations
Over time, people have tried to alter the library so it is less causing of despair and mania. None have yet succeeded.
Architecture
The Infinite Library of Babel is an otherworldly plane that defies conventional architecture.
The Library of Babel is an infinite structure with hexagonal rooms. On four of the walls of each room are books. On one wall is an entrance, and on the last wall is what is needed for human survival. In the library are books containing every possible ordering of 25 basic characters (22 letters, the period, the comma, and space).
Defenses
The building's defense is its labyrinthine nature and the despair it imparts on those within it.
The building also protects itself through riddles, puzzles, and traps created by the books within it.
History
The Library of Babel was built by scholars and witches working to create a repository of all known and unknown knowledge. Upon its completion, the creators became lost within its walls.
Tourism
People visit there to learn, but get lost in the halls and are often never seen again.
There is also a strange pilgrimage made there made by scholars driven by a need to acquire the strange knowledge held within the Library's walls. Those who survive it find themselves forever changed, their understanding of reality expanded, and their thirst for knowledge unquenchable.
