Personal history

Viratia was born and raised in Bibracte, the capital of the Aedui tribe in Gaul. She was born into a prestigious house as the youngest of four children to Balorix of Bibracte her three brothers were Tauratis, Voretoviros, and Vertos. She was tutored directly under her oldest brother Tauratis and learned to fight, hunt, and how to read and write Hellenic. Viratia's mother Tancina died of a sickness when she was twenty years old. When she was twenty two her father and brothers fought in the battle of Faesulae (952 AC) against the Arretians, ambushing and defeating the Arretians. In the following months the Battle of Telamon (952 AC) would take place and be a decisive Arretian Victory. Of the confederation of Gallic tribes that participated forty thousand Gauls are said to of been slain, including all three of Viratia's brothers. Her father survived and took part in the Battle of Clastidium (955 AC) three years later, again another decisive Arretian victory. On returning home Balorix immediately remarried to Abrezta who is five years younger than Viratia. At this point Viratia moved to Massalia looking for opportunities, she met Shiba there and lived with her and her family. She worked for Shiba's families business, learning to create pottery and textiles for a couple years before finding herself work under a wealthy Hellenic patron as a bodyguard. Though trained for combat by her brother she never had to take a life or be put in a position to have to do so until meeting the party.
