Eos
Eos is set in antiquity, technologically and culturally the world is the equivalent of the third century BCE. Being set in this time frame people find themselves in a harsh and cruel world full of superstition and limited information on the world around them.
The fantasy races have all been designated to specific cultures of the era, an example is the dark elves, who in the forgotten realms setting are evil and subterranean, in Eos I have given them the culture, history, and political institutions of the Carthaginians, changing the names to mask their historical parallels. Another example are the High elves who I have given the culture of the Etruscans, and the Dragonborn Egypt.
