Cliff's Landing

Jagged spikes of stone point towards the sky. Weathered by wind and water, these gnarled teeth stand as a warning to all climbers and more specifically those who lure poor folk away from their families and homes to go to some god forsaken land at the edge of nowhere under the promise of gold which does not in fact exist.

This allows the village leaders an easy location to gather everyone together must meetings that concern the whole village.

History

The natural monument known as Cliff's Landing is the natural rock formation that the village is named after. It was so named after Tolin Clifford and his unfortunate fall from said rock formation. While officially considered an accident it is the common and poular opinion that Clifford was pushed off the mountain side to his death.   After bringing a large group of settlers to found the new village under the promise of gold, Tolin met many problems once it was discovered no gold was to be found. It is said that a band of these disgruntled pioneers schemed to push him to his death. The place where he landed, a sharp outcropping of jagged stone, became what is known today as Cliff's Edge.
