Zahar‘azan

Zahar'azan is the name given to the large, dense forest that cuts Thamdur off from the rest of the continent by the Dwarves and loosely translates to the Dark Valley. Here the trees are so dense that one would become lost within its groves in mere minutes. There are legends of Dryads and Pixies living in these woods, but no one who weaves these tales has ever believed them themselves. Most that do make it out of the Forest come out slightly mad, a side effect of losing all track of direction and sense of time whilst within it.
