Eodalan

Eodalan is world covered mostly in water. Large landmasses are speckled across is deep blue surface of Eodalan. From the jagged coastlines of Nostroris, to the winding rivers of Faeroris, the people of Eodalan are as diverse as the landscapes.

The World goes through a cycle of destruction and renewal. At the beginning of each cycle the world is plummeted into chaos. As the chaos settles down and the peoples begin coming together again, the Primordial Evils will being their incursion. These forces of evil are so powerful that even the Gods struggle to defeat them. During this time forces of the Primeval Good will aid people in their fight against the Evil. During these adversities there are those that go to immense lengths to save others, often sacrificing their lives. If their efforts and sacrifices are great enough they will be transcended from the Chaos to become the Gods of the next cycle, or so it as told in the tall tales of the world.

It has been 975 years since the last cycle began. The world is still young in this cycle, and if the legends are true this is only the second cycle since the first Humans came into existence. The other races are older, and wiser about the cycles of Eodalan.
