The Staff of Chiefs

The Staff of Chiefs was forged in the year 1173 out of one of the crown gems taken to the mining village for reference in the search for gems. This gem was forgotten to all but the free orcs and became their symbol of independence from human rule. Not wanting to imitate humans by making a crown, they crafted it into a staff to be held by the most powerful and respected blue orc.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The gem is said to glow with the emotions of the chief wielding it. Legends speak of the staff doing any numbers of fantastic things, from creating blizzards to summoning flying ice beasts.

Significance

The Staff of Chiefs is the defining item for chiefs of the blue orc tribe. It is a symbol of their position and is also said to hold great power.
