Culture and cultural heritage

Not all humans decided to go live in Twinbrook. Some decided the hunter gatherer lifestyle was ideal for them and so they stayed near the EGG. They lived just west of the EGG, in opposition of the evil birdfolk. Of all inferior races in the world, it was the birdfolk that most needed time in the EGG

Shared customary codes and values

Lizardmen believe in strength and superiority to others. They worship the great EGG and seek to return all lesser beings to the EGG. There is nothing more emasculating than to put someone into the EGG, it implies that this being is not yet ready to be hatched and therefore needs more time incubating.

Average technological level

Barbarians with no understanding of technology on a societal level.

Common Dress code

Lizardmen wear trophies from their conquests, usually in the form of a necklace of teeth or ears. Lizardwomen dress in burkas in order to avoid the leering eyes of non-alpha lizardmen

There is but one beauty to the lizard men and that is the EGG

Coming of Age Rites

A lizardman that does not kill is no lizardman, merely a newt. The young newts must prove themselves by locking a member of an inferior race into the EGG.

Common Taboos

It is taboo to release anyone from the EGG. The EGG will decide when they are ready to be released

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

Lizardfolk are a barbaric people who believe the most appealing qualities one can have are size, strength, and most importantly, spikes.

Gender Ideals

Men strive to be the largest and most masculine lizardman they can be. There is no honor for lizardmen outside of combat. Women are merely prizes to be won in lizard society. The strongest of all lizardmen gets all the women in the tribe.

Courtship Ideals

Lizardfolk are polygamous but the only male allowed to mate is the biggest baddest lizardman in the tribe.
