Iliphal: Seraph of the Hearth

Summary: Iliphal was an aasimar who was famous for helping free slaves from cults of Wylana and guiding them back to their homes.  After she had made sure the escapees were safe in their homes, she would always pray a blessing over their homes to keep them safe.  She always dreamed of finding love, but always put her duty of helping others before herself.  Iliphal's pure heart and dedication to stopping Wylana drew the attention of Nyluria, who began watching over her and guiding her and the escapees on their way to their homes.  One day, Iliphal unknowingly guided a priest of Wylana, who was disguised as a slave, to an abandoned house.  The priest moved to stab Iliphal in the back of her neck with his dagger, but Nyluria, who was watching this encounter closely, instantly ascended Iliphal to godhood in that moment.  The horrified priest watched his dagger deflect of of Iliphal's now glowing form.  Nyluria showed Iliphal what she knew about the priest and in the next instant, Iliphal smote the him and he turned to dust.  Iliphal paused only long enough to offer thanks and praise to Nyluria before returning to her duty of freeing Wylana's slaves.
Iliphal quickly realized that with her newfound power, the cults to Wylana were no match for her.  If she had wanted, she could have muttered a few simple utterances and teleported all the slaves home, brought an entire church to the ground, and killed all the followers of Wylana who resided therein.  She quickly realized the unfairness in this and didn't dare risk drawing the ire or Wylana herself.  She decided her time on Enmilon was over and ascended to the Heavens to take her place by Nyluria.  Today she still guides travelers on long journeys, blesses the homes of all good people, and helps them find the love she never got to have herself.
