Home

Home is one of the five main continents of the material plane.  It is home to primarily humans, halflings, high elves, dwarves, catfolk, and vanara.  It is the South-Easternmost continent, and is not largely influenced by any one plane, but the Shadow Plane's influence slightly touches the Southwestern portion and the Ethereal Plane influences the Northeastern peninsula.

Geography

Northern Region

The Kyojak Mountains occupy much of the Western part of this region. It is primarily home to dwarves who live both on the mountains and deep inside them. The largest mountain in the range is Mount Shall, which is the only formation in Home tall enough to climb to the Plane of Air. There are numerous tunnels to the Plane of Earth beneath Shall and the other mountains as well. Near Shall's summit is the city of Jik, a metropolis of dwarves who mine gems that grow out of the earth like fruit from a tree. The residents of the Kyojak Mountains are Home's primary defenders against the invaders from Zidrik. All along the coast to the North of the mountains, orcs, lizardfolk, goblins, and other savage races from Zidrik are spread throughout numerous small settlements surrounding a single larger settlement: New Zhod. So far, all attempts on their part to expand have been stopped. The region just inside the Northern ridge of the mountain range is also home to many refugee camps of former inhabitants of Zidrik seeking a better life.  The goliath settlement, Helon Na, is located in the South.   East of the mountains is the N'Waki Jungle, home to several tribes of vanara and wild halflings. Catfolk tribes live in the Southern part of the jungle and the plains between there and the mountains.

Central Region

In the Western part of this region is the enchanted Saiden Forest. The only fey court in Home, the Blue Grove, is near what used to be its center before much it was deforested by humans. The Blue Grove rules the fey and various other creatures who live in Saiden, such as dryads, fairies, satyrs, centaurs, selkies, kobolds, ferrie, and myconids.   To the East is the city of Pavel, built on the Northwestern coast of a lake of the same name. The Pavel Lake is long and skinny and angles to the Southwest. The city of Grishm is built in a small cove in its Southwestern tip. Pavel and Grishm have long been allies and traded via the lake between them.   In the Southern part of this region, a long, thin forest grows up against the Northern border of the hills. Many residents of the Saiden Forest have moved here after losing their old home.

Southern Region

A tiny tip in the Western part of this region is influenced by the Shadow Plane. Built on the coast there, is the city of Moonport which is inhabited primarily by fetchlings, dhampirs, vishkanyas, strix, and wayangs.   In the center of this region is a thin range of hills. Below it is a large grassland that borders a forested coastline. The grassland houses Topal, a once great city of all varieties of magic users that shamefully fell into ruin after an attack by a powerful lich.

Northeastern Peninsula

The Northeastern peninsula of Home is not the nicest place to live, to say the least. It is heavily influenced by the Ethereal Plane, which doesn't inherently make for bad living in and of itself, but it does attract all sorts of shady characters and unsavory professions.   The Southern part of this region is a large highland plateau. At its center is a lowland where the city of Lindross is built in the salt swamp that formed there. North of the highland a thin forest is pressed up against the cliffs. The city of Thanton is built against the cliffs as well, hidden in the trees.   Further North, the cities of Nisk, to the East, and Malov, to the West, are almost constantly warring with each other for resources. In a small forest on the North coast is the port city of Murtrid, which, by comparison, is one of the nicer places on the peninsula to live.
