History
Midway through The Impetus, traveling long distances across water became all but impossible, even more so for vessels any larger than a liferaft. Magical cataclysm and orbs of spiraling doom stirred the sea into a fury that still rages 1100 years later. The Unnamed Oceans are all those that surround the remaining continent of Ec'algor, and though they are called oceans they may as well be the world. Who knows what lays even a few miles off the coast of our lands, what mysteries and lost creatures lay under the waves, or if the world that was simply fell to the seabed and ceased to be all together. Perhaps we were never meant to find these secrets, or the violent vastness is a way to prevent us from ever wondering--answers without questions. Even something as simple as their names, what the oceans that used to be traveled by the greatest and largest civilizations the world had ever seen, called those very waters. Even now, all that can be done is call them Unnamed.
