Personal history

Born and taught in Themeria, Anselm has always been a bright mind with a knack for arcane exploration.   The damage caused by The Impetus and the magical fallout left afterward has made magical travel between the countries virtually impossible--save the few truly reckless who would risk life and limb to cast the Teleport spell.   Despite the difficulty presented to magical travel and a lack of available vessels in the sea, Anselm Algernon appeared mysteriously in the city of Aquarin in the year 1044.

Education

Learned the schools of Enchantment, Conjuration, and Illusion in Poux Rappou. Though these are the schools he is most comfortable with, Anselm has learned at least the basics in every other school throughout Terisirae's most prestigious academies.

Employment

Anselm has been very tight-lipped about his early life, only his life on Terisirae is widely known   Y.E. 1045 - Scholar under Master Eponmeal in the Aquarin outpost for 7 Staves   Y.E. 1051 - Becomes Staff Master Six after Master Eponmeal stepped down and retired in Silk Mist Glade   For the next 27 years, Anselm spent his career ascending the ranks of 7 Staves to its premeir position of First Master.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Anselm is one of nine documented cases of a person surviving a magical teleportation between countries, and only one of three to do so while maintaining all of their limbs.   As the premier Staff Master One, Anselm has access to a wealth of magical knowledge, so vast and deep it challenges even the richest lords of Ec'algor.   For the newest generation of magic casters, he is also notable for having sponsored Master Bradley's publishing of his now-famous compendium, as well as adding to it the spells "Winter's Approach", "Algernon's Armor", and "Iconoclast".

Anselm favors hot drinks--coffee, cocoa, but he is most partial to tea.   He is almost never spotted without a cup in hand and his hands are quick to cool without the presence of something to keep them heated.

Hygiene

Anselm Algernon is a very particular type, he rarely entertains guests even in his "public" office within 7 Staves offices in Harthwater.   When he does, he requires they remove their shoes and allow him scrub them clean with the Prestidigitation cantrip.   His wealth allows him a wide array of clothing options, and he will never re-wear a garb that has been sullied.
