Greenwich Village Medical Center
The Greenwich Village Medical Center (GVMC), originally known as Greenwich Village Hospital, was built in 1935 on the Greenwich-Enfield town line. Visiting doctors from the New York City area became concerned with the lack of medical facilities in the area and urged its construction.
Purpose / Function
Greenwich Valley Medical Center (GVMC) serves the Swift River valley towns as an ACS-verified Level II Trauma Center.
