Gleasra

The peaceful element of Loughland, Gleasra encompasses flora of all kinds, despite its association with "wood." Its bonded, almost exclusively the Sidhe, are highly attuned to it, seeing it as a part of life, as opposed to a tool with which one navigates the world. Unlike many of the elements which are easily used for destruction in the wrong hands, Gleasra is an element well suited to the healing arts. The Bonded in Loughland form groups of Bonded, called "Circles" (or more rarely "Spheres"). These circles generally share a commonality or goal, strengthening both their own and each other's Bonds.

Specializations

Ring of the Druids

Druidism in Loughland is a popular practice among the people of Loughland. Formally, it is a way of life that involves oral storytelling and folk song. In many ways, the Druidic peoples are living archives of information about Loughland's culture and people. The bonded who form Rings of Druids are able to evoke powerful reactions from the flora with their connection to the land and its lore.

Ring of Hemlock

It would be remiss to say that Gleasra was only an element of peace. Many plants hold powerful toxins and can be turned into virulent poisons. Those that form Rings of Hemlock are considered to be the "mad scientists" of Loughland. Not that they are mad scientists in the traditional sense, but boiling roots for their toxins and turning them into deadly weapons is so odd to the Loughlandish that the general consensus is that the Ring of Hemlock is for the "mad."

Ring of Herbalism

The most traditional use of Gleasra in Loughland is through Herbalism. Rings formed to embrace the use of herbs to heal are common, giving Loughland a name for having powerful healers throughout the continent. Many herbalists are skilled botanists, preferring to grow their own gardens for mundane healing. The most skilled Herbalists are able to will flora itself to do the healing work, a sight that is rarely seen.

Ring of the Ley

Loughlandish Sidhe have long been in search of a forerunner race called "the Ley." From what has been unearthed in ruins and ancient manuscripts, the Ley were exceptionally tuned to both Gleasra and Terra, forming massive networks of magical line work (Ley Lines) across Endre's surface. The spots where these lines overlap are considered to be immensely powerful hotspots for magic.
