Sidhe

The average populace of sidhe are proud little-folk with strong ties to the land. They often strive for perfection in all things and care a great deal about personal appearance, be it reputation or aesthetic. Along with being adept at most things they set their mind to, the sidhe have the highest percentage of populace with an elemental bond. An adage was coined during the Conduit Wars that said: “when the little folk go to war, the land goes to war with them.”

Basic Information

Anatomy

The sidhe are perhaps the strangest and least explainable race on Endre. In their default state, sidhe are easily mistaken for children, hardly reaching a height of three and a half feet. This is not to say the sidhe do not mature, however, they still mature at the rate a human would until their body reaches young-adulthood, at which their aging slows considerably. The true telltale sign you are observing, or speaking to a sidhe is their ears; a sidhe’s ears are elongated and come to an elegant point at the tip. What makes them truly strange is how they change. How exactly the sidhe’s biology functions is completely unknown, as the sidhe are incredibly protective of their dead and have not been examined by scholars. The explanation that is often given by a sidhe is such: “when a sidhe reaches its true potential, it is able to assume its true form.” This “true form” is akin to a tall, adult human of impossible elegance. This has lead to the sidhe being referred to as “magimorphs” or “shapeshifters” in the past, which the little-folk detest, even when presented with the argument that assuming either form on a whim is essentially shapeshifting. Insistence on referring to the folk as anything other than sidhe at length will often result in a broken nose or jaw, especially if that sidhe hails from Korhus.
