Shifters rights are restricted in Walong.

The Council of Walong passed the Aurealis Statute, a law that restricted shifter freedoms based on a sharp increase in violent incidents related to the species, or at least in those born after 1273. This came in the form of shifter relocation into government housing and careful oversight over these individuals. Gradual amendments presented a mixed bag for the affected, with freedoms like hair choice and a lack of bindings being granted, though restrictions like forced physical labor also came about.   Even over 200 years later and after the fall of the initial governing body, the Aurealis Statute is still seen as legitimate in the Tylotian Empire.
