The Screaming Towers

Purpose / Function

It serves many functions, a secure manor for the Lady of Stonesea, a college to further the sciences and understanding of the world, and a aerial deployment platform for a small military force. This is what she has made it into, and nobody, not even Verona herself, understands what its real purpose was before the Endgame.

The amount cannot be quantified and their purpose cannot be identified, the only thing that can be guaranteed is that they are numerous in size and devious in machination.

Special Properties

It floats, for one, it produces a weather anomaly around it that disallows flight onto the towers. The only way to fly onto it is if you were to crash into it.

Alterations

The previously empty and desiccated rooms in the towers have been completely refurbished, giving most spaces beautiful form and practical function. The addition of working teleportation circles onto the docks, the installment of a small military garrison, the conversion of the upper portion of the primary tower into a full college, dedicated to the sciences, and the renovation of the secondary tower into a dungeon for experimentation and a manor for the master of the tower, Lady Verona.

Architecture

It is a finely chiseled stone brick with Ancient light-lattice around the whole of the structure that can be activated, changed color, and deactivated at will in the garrison and manor. All craftsmanship is of the highest quality and while the passage of time seems to have all but disintegrated the woodwork and natural stone, it has been carefully reconstructed in the Ancient style, and the Ancient stone and metalwork that make up every part of its exterior, supports, and machinery have not been affected.

History

Before Verona raised it, it was a ruin in the badlands, but in 905 she refurbished it and raised it. She used this as a claim to Tasyrian meritocratic power, and she was appointed to Lordship a year later. Over the next few years, it would be repaired and the Star College would be founded, with Verona as it's headmaster.

Below the towers, it creates such a powerful wind anomaly that it has long since destroyed the buildings underneath it, and it almost appears to be hovering on a faint tornado.
