Aerial Denial, but with orbital stations loaded with light frigates and fighterbomber craft, protecting interests, while fleets of mid-size cruisers and frigates focused on EW and interceptor missles. Capital sized ships are rare and function similarly to the orbital stations, though they are the most common way of estabilishing trade routes (IE the ship slowly moves to position, protects a fleet of construction drones that builds a station, then moves on to the next waypoint once construction is complete. railguns are deployed as standalone weapons platforms with large capacitors. they detach, fire, and reattach and recharge/reload. The magnetic feild generated interacts with the metal of the ship enough to still create a recoil effect.

Assets

The Navy produces and maintains all ships in it's fleet using resources accrued by non-combatant extraction projects and revenue from taxed protectorates and the sale of retired ships and stations. As all money retained by the Navy over a certain amount is redistributed to the various member and partner states at the end of every Martian year, the Admiralty has a great deal of incintive to spend as much as it can as early as it can. That said, they are hindered in this by officers appointed by the Senate and Tribunal to audit the manpower, supply, and research budgets.
