Aretian Confederate Army (XFA)

The XFA is patterned after the United States Military, but the names of its units and ranks are stylized after the Roman Army. This is partially to invoke the image of the feirce military forces of that once great ancient empire, and partially out of an effort to maintain an international atmosphere within the XFA. As members from the member states speak and understand many different languages, the primary language of the XFA and the CFA is the politically neutral Latin. All major publications, individual orders, promotion warrants, and awards are given in an authoritative Latin original and a still binding "vulgar" translation into the recipients native language. Drill and Ceremonies are also performed in Latin.
