Elyria

Elyria, the paradise created by loving Creator, Elyon, is home to the most beautiful landscapes and diverse people, protected by her many Guardians. All is well in the land.   Magic abounds, the elements coming together to create wondrous things, and, yes, destroy, but wars are rare as the Guardians work to make Elyria a peaceful haven.   But the Guardian Shahar'an was arrogant. He didn't believe he should be the one granting favors to the humans. He rebelled against his Creator and was cast down in chains, never to see the Light again.   But his power is growing, infecting the people and, in some places, the land itself. In the areas surrounding his ruined shrines, nothing grows, the ground black, and the darkness is spreading.   The once-proud Kingdom of Eirena has been usurped by the Meleki Prince Anumsha, the fifth son of the Meleki Faron. The royal family of Eirena has been cut down, with only the pregnant queen escaping to the northern Temple of Crea’el. The years pass and the current Emperor, Romauld Tor’Zuberi, has begun dabbling in the dangerous Dark Magic, thanks to the dream influence of the Fallen Guardian. The cost of the magic, however, is his sanity. As his fall into insanity begins, he outlaws any magic but his own, calling for the genocide of thousands of magic users and the razing of the temples. And our story begins...
