City Raynor
Hythia's own defense sector
An Empire's security, the Gryffen's piercing talons that clutches forlorn and motherland challengers. He that stands between the realm of the just and spheres of darkness and chaos. The last citystate in all of Hythia that would ever fall to any conqueror or his men, it's people boast. Yet, still, City Raynor's children grow restless and are beginning to ponder the notions of prosperity and freedom once more, for some fear what lays in the past may ascend to tear away the veil of liberty.

Infrastructure
City Raynor's layout is a stone keep surrounded by a courtyard with a gateway facing south. The keep and courtyard are surrounded by three massive walls, the inner most being the highest. The next two walls follow the hill that the courtyard is on downwards, allowing City Raynor's defenders to easily protect the castle through consequential wall height, should any invader make it to the city states hold. Raynor's Hold is the combination of the keep and it's surrounding city area. This culmination of the two is the general layout for large Hythian cities, the idea being that the city state holds the majority of it's population in one central location. There is also a single wall following the outer edges of the city/hold.

History
Before the age of the Consortium, where most of the Hythian city states were forced to renounce kingship and pledge their allegiance to allied peace and prosperity, Raynor was ruled by a fairly competent lineage of royalty, though this is not to say they did not partake in their own war campaigns and neighborly sieges. For in the previous age, Hythian conquest was often an internal affair.
