Guild Master

The rank of Guild Master is nothing to be scoffed at in Easthaven. Every guild from all known kingdoms has a guild hall or representative in the city. This is the guild's highest-ranking executive officer, and the highest-ranking member of the guild. Responsible for determining the overall direction of the guild and for making strategic initiatives and partnerships with the other guilds.
The rank itself takes nearly a lifetime of dedication to achieve and is granted by the Guild Master council only as needed to fill a vacancy as the position itself is a lifetime award.

Qualifications

In order to qualify as a Guild Master, a guild member must achieve the rank of Warlord and be nominated for the rank of Guild Master by each current Guild Master of the Council. There is not any set time that a member has to be in any rank, so it is possible that a young member can be of a higher rank than someone much older.

Appointment

When there is an opening of Guild Master, the Guild Council convenes. There they nominate an existing Warlord for the position. The nominee does not have to be from the guild where there is an opening, even though it is more beneficial for the guild to have someone that had actually earned the ranks in it to run it. With this, each Guild Master nominates one of their best Warlords for the open position. Debates can last for days and the new Guild Master can not be picked until the decision is unanimous.

Duties

The duties of the Guild Master is to determine the overall direction of the guild and for making strategic initiatives and partnerships with the other guilds. They will give direction to the Warlords and to what they want done and it is broken down from there.

Responsibilities

The Guild Master must find ways to keep the guilds reputation intake, increase fame and profit as well as to increase membership.

Benefits

Guild Masters no longer have a need for money. With the position comes everything that they need, including food, housing and other areas of comfort.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Guild Masters keep their rank for life. The only exception is if Guild Master causes the guild to lose fame, fortune or standing in the community. At this point, the Guild Council votes on eliminating them from the position.
