The Swans Division

One of the three specialist divisions of the Order of Erdantia, the other two being the Hawks Division and the Eagles Division. The Swans Division is assigned to political influence. Its operatives specialise in control and coercion, and are recruited from high status individuals with high political, social or economic power.

Structure

All operations done by the Swans are organised and authorised by the Order Council, as is the case with all operations in the Order of Erdantia. The Council prefer to keep the tactics used to complete missions vague, as it means that even if orders are intercepted, the exact methodology is still unknown, being left to the initiative of operatives. This remains true with the Swans Division, as while they may not be out in the field like the other two divisions, keeping secrecy is even more important, and so the exact methods of completing an objective (such as arranging public distrust for a group), are kept open.

There are nine members of the Swans Division, each with considerable wealth that they are willing to share with the Order.

History

Along with the Hawks and the Eagles, the Swans Division's creation was authorised by Ezekial Evans, then the head of the Order, in 1582. Planning took two months, followed by a year spent selecting operatives before missions began, with seven operatives originally chosen, before increasing to 10 and then decreasing to 9.
