The Fertile Quarter
The Fertile Quarter (translated from Caeric) is the name given the the area of fertile land at the north of Argea, on the side of the Life-giving Mountains through which its rivers flow. The entirety of its land is under control of the nation Cebelra.
Geography
The Fertile Quarter is a mix of rainforest and tropical grassland, both of which have very fertile land. The area is riddles with slow-moving rivers that join and fork like snakes, creating a network of traversable waterways. The rivers rarely flood and the climate is stable, creating a very steady and sustainable environment. The Fertile Quarter's coast runs along the Atloan Ocean, making trade a good option.
Fauna & Flora
The animals here take full advantage of the fertility, and many of them grow to be very large, supported by the abundance of nutrients. A good example of this is the Ekernai, a large lizard-like creature that roams the oasis-riddled grasslands.
Natural Resources
The land in the Fertile Quarter is some of the most fertile in the entire world, and as such has propelled Cebelra to being a wealthy paradise, a stark contrast to the area south of it. It's rivers are full of fish and seafood, and much of it is covered in thick rainforest, making wood easy to obtain. The land has few mineral ores, although there is a large concentration of obsidian, and as such many tools are either made of imported metals from Jheoh, or made from obsidian itself.
