Porter's Armoury and Smithy

Porter's armoury and smithy is one of three locations owned by Porter Manufacturing, a front of the Order of Erdantia. The armoury was the first of the three. It is situated in Sinco.

Purpose / Function

Porter's Armoury and Smithy was created as a front for the Order of Erdantia, to fulfil three main purposes:
  • To act as a point of respite for operatives in the area, especially those that are under surveillance and do not wish to enter Point 1.
  • To provide operatives with weaponry and armour without having to buy it from elsewhere.
  • To provide extra funding for the Order, through the selling of produce.

Design

The armoury has a small central reception area, with two manufactury rooms on either side, and to the back, an Order of Thorn safehouse and an underground storeroom. The safehouse has reinforced, soundproofed walls.

Entries

It has three entrances:
  • A main entrance, in the form of a double-door.
  • A side door for employees, going into the right room. [/li
  • A hatch going from the storeroom underground into a bushed area that sits on the armoury's land, used if the armoury itself is under surveillance. [/li

Alterations

The Armoury has been steadily increasing in size since it was established, transforming from a small one-person shop to a large business with 20 workers.

Architecture

The armoury uses the style typical of buildings in Renn, with timber-framed walls made of spruce planks and stone.

History

Porter's Armoury was built in 1586, using a grant given by the Order in 1585.
