Balego

Basic Information

Anatomy

Biped creatures from fungal origin, rather small creatures with a body that's considered plant based instead of flesh based as many other creatures. their body is humanoid but are known to have some more exotic forms. for example a more rectangle shaped body, flatter heads. depending on what Phenotype they come from. They all share a couple of common traits, for example: their skin is rough to the touch, Their sclera is black, they are all white skinned, however if the Phenotype has mushroom caps, those can differ in colour and even patterns and are all biped.

Genetics and Reproduction

If two Balego's mate one of them develops an egg, the egg grows within 3-4 weeks. After the egg is laid it needs to be put in the ground where it grows as a normal mushroom within 4-7 days. the child would be a mix between the two parents and would develop in such a way that it can adapt to surroundings. The Balego adapt within a couple of generations instead over millions of years like many other species.   They also have a tendency to start to look and internally work like other intelligent species they interact with on a daily basis, a Balego family living around luutark's for example would shape into a Luutark over a couple of generations and with enough time might even function like them.

Growth Rate & Stages

When the egg has been buried in the ground within 4-7 days it will grow out of the ground, once it can cry it has to be cut off from the ground so it can start walking. A Balego is considered a child until it reaches the age of 5 and will remain a young adult until the age of 15. Balego's live till the age of 35.
