Ulfgar started his career as a rank and file soldier. He eventually worked his way up and into the thrones royal guard, Eventually becoming a bodyguard to the King and closest confidant. When the king fell in battle he used the rite of "By my will alone" to forever safeguard the throne from those he saw as unworthy. It is said only the truest of dwarfs might approach the throne without Ulfgars hammer striking them down. Ulfgar stands infront of the throne guarding it from all who would claim it as their own.
