The Shanders is the largest town in Icewind Dale and contains a collection of various races living in peace.

Demographics

Variety of species currently dwell in The Shanders. Humans and Dwarves that migrated into Icewind Dale during the settling of Icewind Dale , Ratfolk and Slaad that used to live underneath the city now live amongst everyone else, and Duergar and Drow that have recently started to migrate from The Underdark because Icewind Dale is hospitable to them due to the effects of Auril, the Frostmaiden .
