Primordial Beasts

Beings that came eons before the Dragons and Ancient Elves. They slaughtered their way into absoluteness before reclusing themselves from the outer world. Some live in lonely forests, some in the depth of volcanos, others even made their own pocket dimensions. They rarely ever interact with the world as they know any conflict involving them would spell its doom. There are few records of any encounter with these beasts. One of the only surviving ones is the Chronicles of The Traveling Mage  that describes a Three-headed phoenix.
