My message said "cargo leaves noon" and with Mina's we know the day is tomorrow. I'm nervous, this is the biggest thing we have stolen but if we don't get it all this many will starve come winter. Even now the wind is already chilling me to the bone. We will rise early tomorrow and get set up to catch it on the road.
Mina and I set up our trap, off the side of the main road an hour north of Nyre, our 'broken' cart sat waiting for the cart with the King's insignia on it. When they finally approached I ran up in a fake panic asking the guards to help my poor wife. Mina sat leaned against the cart feigning unconsciousness. The cart stopped and 2 of the 4 men hopped off and came toward me and Mina. As they approached Mina I made my way to where the other 2 were at the reigns of the horses attached to the cart. I asked them for water and when one went to hand me a water skin I overreached and put my right hand on his wrist as I clapped my left hand on the other mans ankle 'Thank You" I said as I sent a shock into them, like static a hundred times over, now stunned they slumped over. As I did that I heard twin thumps as Mina breathed out sleep onto the men that were leaning in to check on her. Mina and I worked quickly to empty their cart and move it into the woods with the unconscious men in the back, I tied them up and untacked their horses. They would either escape or be found soon eventually but I figured we have a half a days head start. As we road toward back south to the crossroads that leads eat Mina sat in the back sanding off the insignias from the crates. When we reached the crossroads meeting up with several more Gifted we split the cargo, we would all make it up to home base from different routes.
