Hypnoid

Once an illness that plagued even the strongest of warriors, Hypnoid fell with the rising of those called Assassins. Slain under the empty moon, the Okkenan of Hypnoid took the disease into oblivion under the strength of an Oathseeker .
Recorded outcomes are unknown. They include psychosis, of any level to full-on insanity, and even possible death. The occurrence of what happens during the coma in which the disease is demonstrated is unknown, but it leaves victims in a constant state of fear if regaining consciousness.
History of Hypnoid, a Scientific Study

Overview

Hypnoid is a rare, now extinct disease, that affects the human population. Its cause is mainly unknown but has been related to Ukkan, an Okkenan thought to be in command of the disease. Following a series of unclear events in 314 i2, the disease was mysteriously eradicated. As it stands, there are no known cures nor survivors of the affliction.
The disease is classified as chronic due to not having a cure and leading to death or life-long psychosis rather than for a prolonged illness, though many never exit the first stage of Hypnoid

Fantastic work Jac! The detail is amazing, the design is simple yet sophisticated and if this is the first article of your new world than it's a great sign of things to come. So weird to be reading about a fantasy disease during the pandemic we're all currently living through. Coronavirus doesn't look too bad compared to Hypnoid.
