Gwen was born to Clarise and Dominique Lan Lavasque a noble family that made their fortune selling explosives to minors and breeding wild Pegasus with nightmares creating storm runners. She was born near a desert oasis and bathed in the waters of a witch causing her to become a witch born. When she started to show signs of magic her parents knew it wasn't safe for their daughter in the open.
So they bought a house in a small town away from any other witch borns and set strict rules for their daughter leaving her with a governess and servants to keep her safe.
