Refined Empyrean

Refined Empyrean is created by smelting Empyrean Ore also known as Divine Ore. Empyrean Ore is a dark brittle substance that resembles charcoal. Heating the ore with anything short of Divine Fire will simply result in the ore giving off thick black smoke. If the ore is smelted with divine fire the ore will melt and, in the process, change from a dark color, to a silver almost glass like state. One the ore has been refined into ingots or bars by divine fire it can now be forged using traditional means.

Since Refined Empyrean can only be made through the direct assistance or actions of a God the metal has become a symbol of divine authority and favor.
