Thresholds

Thresholds are Portals which have appeared for a hundred years. Inside the Thresholds are self contained dungeons with a variety on monsters and Power Crystal and Magic Crystals
2 weeks after a portal first appears, the monsters inside will be released and will seek to kill as many people as possible.
Only Levellers are able to enter a Threshold.
Threshold's are assigned a CR by the The Association which is used to determine the strength and danger level of the Threshold and the risk of a Threshold's monsters being released to the public.
