Jedi Guardian; Jedi Knight Vyrin Nylok (a.k.a. Vy)

The Force is our guide, our strength, and our blessing. It should not be abused, it should be protected. That is why I have devoted myself as a Guardian of the Republic, to ensure our galaxy would be safe against the Sith.

Social Qualities

Strength: Vy's greatest strength comes from his devotion to the force, never wavering towards the dark side despite all the chaos and suffering. This devotion extends to his social life, becoming an undying loyal companion.
Flaw: A single notable flaw with Vy is his determination towards discovery, which is one of the driving factors towards medicine. When Vy heard about the Rakghoul plague, he willingly placed himself in danger because he thought this would allow him to locate a cure. Some would say that it was noble of the Jedi to do that, but deep down he knows it was also for a selfish reason. When moments come about like this, where Vy can learn something that others have not, he is almost willing to sacrifice all.
Desire: Like all Jedi, Vy desires peace being brought back to the Galaxy. On a more personal level, he desires having another padawan to train and protect after his last one fell in Order 66.
Fear: A fear of being captured by the Imperials. He has lived his entire life hiding from them in shelter with untreated trauma. Even the thought of being captured again makes him shut down.

Personal history

Vyrin is a devoted Jedi Guardian of the Republic, trained as a padawan in his youth. During the Clone Wars, he was promoted to a Jedi Knight with his own serving Padawan. When Order 66 struck, Vyrin fled to Nar Shadda to mourn the loss of his Padawan after being betrayed from a band of bounty hunters. Using the dark side of the force, he hid in the Undercity to function as a medic and knowledge seeker for a vulnerable town. He used his abilities to study the growing Rakghoul population in hopes of ending the plague.
His mentors would describe him as courageous and reckless, often proclaimed to having a death wish. These days from the Empire's impact, Vyrin has weakened into a frail old man. The Undercity has aged his body by thirty years with thinning white hair, a frail body, and slow movement. His new condition has given him a poor reputation within the Undercity as being defenseless and crazed, partly due to Vyrin's interest in the old Jedi relics. The town often excuses his behavior to traveling folks in sheer embarrassment. This harsh lifestyle does not waiver his mission to rebirth the Jedi Order and bring peace to the galaxy once more.

For those who knew him in his youth, he could be described as a courageous, reckless human with a death wish. These days, he could be described as a frail old man who could barely defend himself against Stormtroopers. While his mind is still young and sharp, his body looks like it has aged thirty years forward with thinning white hair, frail body, and slow movement. This can be contributed to the poor conditions of Nar Shadda, and the mental trauma gained from the Clone Wars.
