Gioningul
A bastion of religion, Gioningul stands proudly. Despite its name as the Blessed City, Gioningul now stands as a nation. And not many can claim what Gioningul can, even ranking one of the lowest in both crime and corruption. However, the cost of living within this nation is much higher than many can afford, but it does make a wonderful vacation spot.
Gioningul used to be much smaller, only a city in size, but when Denorch gained its independence from Wyebrook, a deal was made between Wyebrook and Gioningul to give it control of the divided half of the country. Several trade deals and treaties were made between the two, and are often referred to as Sister Nations. Gioningul has always had high respect for Wyebrook, and Wyebrook has always been accommodating and helpful to Gioningul.
It is said that even the gods use Gioningul as a neutral ground to talk, celebrate, and meet. Though, this has never been proven.
Structure
The churches elect those who are to be in charge. Each church gets a vote, which they cast for one of the many priests running for position. Most tend to vote within their beliefs, or with those matching their beliefs. This has led to Torian being a prominent leader head, though Asmodeus, Haldern, Imaru, Lorithian, and Veria have all held positions.
Once elected, the High Priest is a life long term; however, this may be terminated early by a meeting by the churches. Rumor has it that there is the possibility of one such meeting happening for Matthias, who has not lived up to his great grandmother Luisa Vedetaria Midus, a well loved leader of the community who stood for the rights of all. She was even rumored to have had audience with several gods, including Calum and Torian.

Gioningul strives to provide a religiously tolerant place for people to live comfortably while also pushing to maintain peace in the world.
Assets
Gioningul is most notable for it's extraplanar trading. While they themselves are unaware of the exact location of the boundary between the planes, they are frequented the most by Celestials and Demonics alike. Beyond that, the nation is also plentiful in agriculture as most of northern Gioningul is rural with only the capital being heavily populated.
History
Long before Gioningul's emancipation, it was a small hamlet town along the coastal south of Wyebrook. There it mainly grew corn, wheat, and tobacco. The population ranged in the hundreds and it had no leader or proper law enforcement. It was a small sleepy place where nothing really went wrong. Then in the year -23857, they were visited by a Celestial. Soon after, they were visited by more and more extraplanar beings from Agathions to Demons to even the now bastardized Vanara. Soon, the hamlet was more extraplanar than it was people from the Mortal Plane.
This then led to relationships between mortals and the extraplanars, forming half-celestials and half-demonics. This seemed, at first, a one time thing, but throughout the countless thousands of years the town has been there, there has been no shortage of the extraplanar influence and to this day, its demographic is heavily influenced by this influx of extraplanar creatures. So much so that within a decade, Gioningul had grown to the size of a major city, the attraction of the new guests drawing people from all over Wyebrook. As of -21926, Gioningul was given emancipation from Wyebrook as a free city within Wyebrook's borders. Though the two separated, both nations were so heavily intertwined that they were always connected and on friendly terms.
However, this was tested rather recently when Denorch began to try for independence from Wyebrook. In 7870, a drought had killed just over three hundred of the people in what is modern day Denorch due to Wyebrook's negligent programs to supply water to their savanna living people. Peaceful protest was met with violent reaction, leading to the injuries of about a hundred of the peaceful protesters. In response, the people of Denorch declared their independence and prepared to defend themselves. Meanwhile, Wyebrook prepared to go to war. Gioningul finally stepped in between the two nations, offering its city as a peaceful place of compromise and delegation. This tension lasted a few days shy of a year before a peace treaty was signed between Denorch, Gioningul, and Wyebrook. The land of Denorch split the country in half, and Wyebrook refused to let that land go to the new nation. Instead, it was offered to Gioningul as a present for mediating the peace, but was also done so to keep the land in close ties with Wyebrook rather than Denorch. Gioningul still mediates peace between the two nations, though neither has relinquished their grudges against the other.
Demography and Population
Gioningul has one of the highest concentrated populations of extraplanars than anywhere else on the globe. It is estimated that sixty to seventy percent of all the planar beings live in Gioningul or at least frequent it heavily. And of their population, extraplanars and their half-breed children make up thirty of the forty eight million people. Of the other races, Humans make the second most predominant, followed by (in order of greatest to smallest) Dwarves, Elves, Fae, and then other races.
