Edafos

Edafos is a world built upon itself for several millennia. Civilization blossoming, falling, and then blossoming again and again. This went on for thousands of years before they reached the Age of History - the first recorded age. However, time continued into the Steel Age, Age of Conquest - considered a dark age, until the Age of Rebuilding, which was marked by a new calendar. However, that is not where the world ends yet. It was followed up by the Age of Industry and then the Modern Age.With a full pantheon of sixteen assorted higher beings and belief systems; from Andon's deep belief in the meaning and luck of colors to Teegrove's spiritual ties. However, many of those beliefs have begun to fall out of practice as the world rocketed forward from the age of swords and bows to an age of industry.   The Age of Industry ended a few hundred years prior, marking the Modern Age, but during that Age two nations nearly destroyed the planet. Wooham and Cacot. Two neighboring countries and industrial powerhouses that began a long competition to see just who was the better industry. Pollution, health conditions, and safety were the least of these two nations' concerns and the impact is still being repaired by druids to this day. Eventually, a victor was decided. Edafos. For, both nations collapsed under tremendous debt and turmoil within. Cacot has shriveled up to a fraction of it's size due to rebellions of their servant peoples taking back their land (Minar, Bevica, Holland, and Glindhul). Wooham's central government completely collapsed, breaking it up into Jericho, Nirma, Gug, and Brassle. And with it's collapse came the time where Brawic, a nation that had isolated itself for a very long time, became the main industrial force. They brought with them technology well beyond any other nation. Why they didn't use it to start an empire, many are unsure.   This was the start of the Modern Age. A mixture of magic and technology coming together to bring comfort and stability to lives all over the globe. This age has been ongoing for about a thousand years and many more advancements have been seen and are expected to be seen. Several nations have launched sips into space and the Age of Space Travel seems just around the corner. But even in this time of comfort, people are needed. For not everyone seems content with this easier way of life.
