Session I: Miners Gone Missing
A party is formed...
General Summary
We are introduced to the small mining town of Echo Falls, a small and close knit community celebrating their 10 year anniversary with the Green Flames Festival. Before the festival officially commenced, the lift meant to bring the miners back from the caverns below emerged without a soul on it. Panicked, Galia Strum called a town meeting in order to assemble a team to go down into the mines and figure out what happened to the miners.
This recovery squad consisted of: the outlander investigator (Alexis Ryker), the diplomatic envoy from Elscyra (Lyariel), a local folk hero (Lucca Frazer), the director of education and PTA mom (Dixie Emmendorpher), and an outcasted informant (Amon). These five individuals ventured down into the mines and discovered an ominous, pervasive black mist which clung to the walls and extinguished any nonmagical light. They stumbled upon the mangled corpse of the miners, with black lines across their neck, bludgeon wounds, and lacerations. They all were around a break in the cave wall, where it opened into a ravine on the other side.
The ravine stretched down far beyond view, but a ledge outlined the ravine and led to The Lost City of Sylvania. The city was surrounded by a moonlight barrier, and abjuration ritual which severely dampened the influence of the mist within the bubble. There, they found a way into what remained of the upper district of the city, and spread out.

- Dixie began walking toward the looming tree, known as the Twilight Tree, in hopes of getting finding any remaining Sylvanic Council members who remained in the canopy citadel.
- Lucca found hisway to the academy, specifically the Elven Archives where he researched the Twilight Tree's importance and nature. There he learned that the tree was able to continue growing because of its fey ancestry, its ability to grow without sunlight. He also learned it housed its own ecosystem within it, as wildflowers grew out of its trunk and sprites polluted the canopy like fireflies. Most importantly, he learned it was worshipped pseudo-religiously.
- Amon, Ryker, and Lyariel went to Shadrael's Temple, discovering that a massive ball of aristocratic corpses had been mashed together and puppeted by the dark, smoky tendrils. Successfully avoiding conflict with the undead ball, they ventured into the detached bell tower and discovered that the person maintaining the moonlight bubble was Lyariel's Mom, Ysara.
Good Favor. During the leadup to the start of the festival, Amon was contacted by a member of Whispers, a little gnome named Scripts . Scripts, a friend of Davion Leguna , offered a friendly piece of information in exchange for good favor in the future. This information: he had told Amon that after he was seperated from his parents, they were taken to Cinderseat. As soon as he was there, he was gone. After some research at the library, Amon learned that Cinderseat was a former mining settlement owned by Tyrus Holt, just like Echo Falls, that was sold to The Bulwark to be a slave-run labor camp.
