Law

Law is the second major cosmic power and was (inadvertently) created by Chaos as its polar opposite. It is the personifcation of order, structure and logic and shares the cosmic balance along with Good, Evil and Chaos.
After its creation by Chaos, Law began to structure, determine and name Chaos' creations, thereby gradually bringing order to the cosmos. This ultimately lead to the Law defining the act of creation itself, thereby creating the Weave. After it had defined the laws of creation and magic, Law too was capable of creation. Cosmic balance between Law and Chaos had been achieved.
Although the cosmic balance was maintained for eons Law's chaotic heritage festered within it, leading to a great duality. Law structured its conflicting natures into two halves within it: Good and Evil. This is known as the Sundering of Law.
After the settling of the cosmos, Law has been become bound by the cosmic balance of power. It now only wields direct influence in its associated cosmic planes as well as more limited influence in the prime material planes (and its Feywild and Shadowfell echos) through conduits from the Astral Sea. Of all the four major cosmic powers, Law has the least influence over the Far Realms.
