First day in Sharn

Another day, another report our travel to Sharn was without any problems and Edward turned out to be a great merchant who has sold me some new amazing clothing that changes colour and appearance. He also sold the Tortle a new wand it apparently improves his power when he is casting a fireball which I have seen him do today it was a mighty fine display of power perhaps because of the new wand. Edward's ship was cool he seems to be very happy with it, he gave us a 20 minute lecture on it and its working turns out it's powered by an elemental creature he talks to to make the ship move. Our arrival in Sharn the city of towers, besides having seen this city before wit its huge towers gleaming in the sunlight with it's ever busy airways it was a completely new look to approach it in an airship, the circus could never afford to take us there in such a luxurious manner. Anyway, upon arriving in the city we made our way to the watch tower where the letters we all got told us to meet sergeant Vilroy who I have had some run ins with before. We arrived just in time to meet him he told us what he brought us here for he was willing to pay handsomely and gave Aire some beef jerky. Naturally I did not settle for his first offer and tried to get him to give us more, it did not work but it was worth a shot, he gave us his original price: 25 gold pieces now 50 more when the job is done. We were tasked with finding and interrogating Coal a black war forged with a missing arm and interrogating her about some terrible crime that happened. Vilroy told us we could find Coal in a bar called the forged festival. Vilroy left without telling us where to find the bar so we headed out and I asked some fellow on the street where we could find it, he seemed to have a burning hate towards the war forged so I told him we were working for the Sharn watch to bring in those criminals the simple fool complied and told us where to find the bar. Upon our arrival there we saw a war forged guarding the door who charged us some copper pieces for our entry since we are not war forged we payed his price and went on inside (slightly foolish of me in hindsight I didn't need to pay). inside the bar there were many war forged playing games drinking having a fine time, I was immediately attracted to a group of 7 of them playing a dice game at a table. Of course I couldn't go talk to them as an outsider no I had to blend in I took my leave excusing my self for feeling unwell left Toza to look after Aire and went to the bathroom. I assumed the form of a war forged with slightly different war markings to be unrecognisable. I joined the group at their table and asked to play a game I convinced them of my identity by telling them some story how activist haters stripped me of my former wealth and forced me to retreat to these lower parts of the city. I had still quite a lot of gold coins and took a wager they all chipped in and one of them against me would play a game of dice for a winning prize of 14 gold pieces, both parties put in 7. I brought out my special dice set for this to assure my victory which they were suspicious of but I assured them there was nothing wrong with them, foolish robots. I still made the victory not too grand as to not raise suspicion it was 33 for me to 30 for them, I won the 14 goldpieces and decided to buy them all a round of the cheap ale they were serving as a kind gift since I just stole all their money. I became their good friend and they trusted me perhaps I will visit them later as my newly created identity of a war forged. I had no time to play more as I noticed Toza and Aire found Coal, I hurried back to the bathroom and changed back to myself and joined them again they were sceptical of why I left but they didn't find anything out. At first Coal was a little scared or paranoid about us being there but once we showed we were with the Sharn watch she calmed down told us some of what we needed to know about the crime, some child kidnapped from a rich family as a black mail or something she didn't tell us all because we were rudely interrupted by an attempted assassination on Coal. Coal thought it was us and made her way out quickly and went on a run. Before we started going after her we saw a couple of shadows across in a different street probably the people that tried to get her but that wasn't our worry we had to chase Coal. It took a while but after her large head start we caught up to her pushing beggars out the way, struggling through crowds, jumping over spilled oil so not to slip and by making our way through barrels we finally caught her, but so had the others we saw. they emerged from behind her: a harpy some kind of shifter who we found out turned into a hound and a goblin acolyte. We convinced Coal we were the good guys and she hid behind some crates while we fought off the foes. The harpy wanted to lure us off the bridge into the depths with a harpy's song but none of us yielded instead what happened was Aire transformed into a giant spider being the little goblin druid miracle he is and threw a load of webbing on the harpy snaring the wings tight and making her plummet into the depths herself. She did not fall all the way down though, instead got caught by a living gargoyle and bitten very hard she later came up besides the bridge again but I took it upon myself to deal with her this time by using my digeridoo and some sand to make her fall asleep and plummet back into the depths this time for good. The shifter took a bit more he was enraged by the first attack made at him by Toza who threw a fireball at his face with his new wand. The shifter made advances and I tried stopping him with my longsword but missed. Toza later tried to blast him off the edge with a thunder wave but The shifter got saved by a rail, unfortunately for him I also know how to make a thunder wave with my digeridoo and sent him plummeting into the depths as well. The last goblin acolyte was dealt with by our spidery friend Aire who bit him, poisoned him and eventually killed him by biting him again but not as a spider anymore but as a rat for comedic affect I presume. After the dust settled I found a short sword I can use dropped by the shifter I took it and added it to my arsenal. Coal now trusts us and will tell us the rest of the story later, for now the hardest part of our mission has ended. I have clearly learned from my foolish acts on the airship and went in to battle prepared and much more assured. Now with a new short sword who knows what I can do.

My first impressions, first losses, and first victories.

This is my report on yesterdays events, what happened the 15th of march was no accident. Someone set us up at that tower. From the moment I saw it there was something fishy about it. My hunch confirmed clearly by the holes in all the floors a trap set up by the kobolds. Furthermore, the darts in the wall, they have proven very useful, the small boy goblin who goes by Aire made a fine poison oil out of it for me I will use it wise to poison one of my daggers. we have been lucky for if it wasn't for this small boy we would not have made it his size has proven very useful. However, it doesn't take away the fact that someone tried to get us with the traps they want us dead. I'm still not sure about Edward the man we found trapped but he is taking us where we need to go so ill roll along with it. my initial plan to find the illusion machine failed but I have preserved my true identity from the others, only Edward knows but I don't think we will stay with him much longer and what does he know anyway. it was foolish of me though, to split up how I did someone could have got hurt worse myself even. that's not what I see to have happened upstairs at the machine I fell but it was luck I would have made it but the kobold got a lucky swing and knocked me really hard, thank god for that boy and the turtle. still it was a stupid decision I was misguided by the loot their corpses could yield but it was unnecessary violence and I should learn to trust my own incantations he would have not woken up if it wasn't for my attack and I could have looted him anyway. my trusty digeridoo I hope you forgive me and I will be sure to trust you more in the future and trust myself. despite my reckless action we made it and are on our way. I am glad for the loot we found gold is always handy and a second dagger is a great addition I will surely find a use for it and I can store everything I find in my new bag of holding. I am prepared for what sharn will bring once I have truly found what this first adventure has brought me. I'm ready for sharn now.   Louis Ponzi
