The Gnomes of Zilargo and House Sivis have, together, flourished in the past twenty years. Certain technological innovations based on the reverse-engineering of captured Galather’s Glass relics have led to the invention of two new dragonshard communication devices whose ubiquity and popularity have created a sort of financial renaissance in Zilargo. Add to this the blow to House Cannith, and gnomish artificers have been able in industries and areas that had been under the heavy monopoly of House Cannith for centuries.
