Sulatar

The Sulatar are a culture of Drow that inhabit southern Xen'drik. They are masters of elemental binding, surpassing even the knowledge of the Zil gnomes. Their magic originated in the Age of Giants, and was passed down to them by their creators in the Sulat League. Sulatar means "firebinder" in giant, and the Sulatar make use of fire in many of their weapons and tools.   The Sulatar are culturally distinct from the Qaltiar, and don't follow the same religious practices. Instead, the Sulatar remained loyal to the giants of the Sulat League, and believe that their continued loyalty will one day grant them access to a promised land where they will be made immortal.   The Sulatar are isolationist and xenophobic, and they go out of their way to avoid interacting with other races and cultures. This makes it difficult to know how many of them inhabit the jungles of Xen'drik, or even where exactly they mostly reside. The one exception to this is their antagonistic relationship with the Qaltiar, who they have been fighting since the fall of the giants thousands of years ago.   The Sulatar are a martial culture, and every one of them is taught to fight with the short sword, dual-bladed sword and crossbow. Many of them are also taught to use fire magic, and some even have elementals bound to their bodies.
