Sigilstar
Sigilstar is named after Eberron's pole star, because it sits in the center of Thrane just as the star sits in the center of the skies. It has Lightning Rail lines going to both Aruldusk and Flamekeep, and sits on the Orien trade road between the southern and northern parts of Thrane. It's position on the northern bank of the Thrane River also gives it access to Scion's Sound as well. Sigilstar is the primary transfer point for cargo that is switching modes of transport, and because of it's central position it is also sometimes referred to as the "Crossroads of Thrane".
The city stands out in Thrane for it's impressive examples of Flamic architecture. It is a city of spires, and many of the larger buildings are capped with crystal spires that glow with the captured light of the sun, beautifully illuminating the city at night. Sigilstar is also known for it's teas, and it's teahouses where patrons can freely discuss anything, even politics and religion, in ways that are practically unheard of in the rest of Thrane.
