Greenheart
Greenheart is the capital of the Eldeen Reaches, and the seat of their government. It is home to the Wardens of the Wood and the Great Druid Oalian. Greenheart is the only settlement in the Towering Wood that sees a significant number of travellers, with those who wish to become druids coming to study under the elders.
Greenheart is small compared to Varna, with a general population of just over a thousand people. The druids permit no commerce within the settlement, and although visitors are welcome, the town has no marketplaces, taverns or inns. Private homes provide shelter, food and healing to outsiders, as long as they show proper deference and respect.
Grove of the Great Druid
Oalian is like no other creature on the surface of Eberron. Some stories claim that he was once a tree, awakened by the original Gatekeepers to serve as a living repository of their traditions. Other stories claim that Oalian is the first tree, and is as old as the world. If Oalian knows the truth of his origin, he has never chosen to share it. Oalian's grove sits at the heart of Greenheart, surrounded by a ring of trees and treants, all facing a pool of water.
