Gorodan Ashlord
Gorodan Ashlord is one of the most well-known warlords of Droaam. He was born in Xen'drik, but was exiled for reasons that seem to change every time he tells the story. In one version, he was exiled by a rival fire giant for being too ambitious, and in others he committed a cultural taboo.
Gorodan travelled to Khorvaire in 974 YK, and immediately subjugated a local group of ogres and goblins. He ruled over a relatively large fiefdom on the east side of the Scar River from his fortress at the river's mouth. When the Daughters of Sora Kell rose up to create Droaam, he was met by Sora Katra who convinced him to swear fealty and join his territory to theirs after just a single evening's discussion. In return, the daughters gave him the resources to build up a settlement around his fort, which would become Vralkek, Droaam's first and only port.
Gorodan is largely uninterested in the politics of Droaam or the rest of Khorvaire. His heart yearns for his homeland, and the colder climate of Khorvaire disagrees with him, but he is making the best of the situation he's found himself in. As a result, he governs his small holding with just enough interest to stop it from falling apart.
