20. The Graywall Mountains Report

General Summary

15th Eyre 998 YK

• Warden buys a ritual book and a component pouch
• Terfel purchased a shield, and decided to wait for the mysterious hooded figure to bring him his prosthetic before buying more.
• Warden gathered the group to discuss what to do about the spooky book he found in the Citadel of the Closed Circle. They decided not to read it right now.
• Terfel writes a letter to Ariana and checks in on Llyr. He asks Llyr what he wants to do, as things are only going to get more dangerous.
• After some umm-ing and ahh-ing, it seems Llyr would like to see his mother. First he must go to Graywall with the party, and so he agrees to train with Dax' Athla.
• Terfel helps Llyr write his own letter to Ariana, and Llyr attaches one of the gears that Dax took from the Orrery.

16th Eyre 998 YK

• The hooded figure comes and delivers a prosthetic arm for Terfel. He's very sus.
• The group heads down to High Walls to speak to Lei.
• Lei is perplexed by the prosthetic, she examines it and determines there's no way this person could've made this in so short a time without a creation forge.
• They convince Greykell to also go to New Cyre.
• They give Greykell 10 pp and 9 gp to fund the migration, on top of whatever the people leaving can provide. The migration will leave without the party, who are going on an expedition to Graywall.
• The party store some of their stuff in the Clifftop vault to free up some space.
• Terfel sends a message via Sivis Message Station to Oargev, informing him of the incoming people, and another to Ariana, telling her that a more detailed letter would be following.
• Terfel gets his prosthetic arm, with an Armblade (Warpick) in it!
• They go to Dragon Towers and board the airship.
• The journey takes 2 days. Warden and Captain Darien d'Lyrandar have a debate about elemental rights. Darien calls Warden a Judgy Jason.

18th Eyre 998 YK

• They arrive at the mountains under cover of night, and Darien hands them each a feather token and winks
• They jump, and Dax immediately activates her feather token. It takes her 20 minutes to touch down.
• Warden finds a cave and they shelter there for the night.
• They travel for 3 days to get to the base of the mountains, dealing with a sheer cliff face. They avoid a party of ogres, and Llyr causes a rock slide which he himself manages to avoid completely.

21st Eyre 998 YK

• Warden manages to locate the entrance to the tunnels, seeing through the hallucinatory terrain that hid the entrance. There seems to be a beautiful song coming from the tunnel, just at the edge of hearing.
• The party takes a short rest before going in.
