Eilexxora

The "Space Whale"   Eilexxora is descendent of a species of whale from the now-dead planet of Raddor. When the oceans of Raddor began to dry up, no longer able to accommodate the size of the eilexxora, the eilexxora evolved to be able to survive outside of the water. Because of their size, however, living on the surface of the planet was also impossible for them. The eilexxora were able to evolve to not need air at all and thus took to space.   This, in and of itself, makes the eilexxora a singularly unique species, as it survives on little to no nutrition. It also roughly tripled in size due to the lack of gravity but was able to create a gravitational center in itself with the occasional digestion of dark matter, which keeps it from exploding entirely. The species also has a relatively low population dispersed across the entirety of the universe, so it has evolved several forms of communication to facilitate finding other eilexxora for mating purposes.   The most incredible oddity about the eilexxora is the fact that, due to its inflated and its stomachs that no longer function for digestion, it is possible to live inside of one. Without most biological systems other species would have, their bodies are, in essence, analogous to a snail's shell. Life support systems, computer systems, defense systems, and even additional ports can be added to their bodies without creating any discomfort to the eilexxora itself. They communicate telepathically, but a system has been developed to convert their telepathy to spoken word, thus allowing the jockey for the eilexxora the ability to communicate easily with them. Most jockeys consider their relationship with their eilexxora to be one of friendship, and the eilexxora frequently voice their enjoyment of working in this capacity, as their lack of biological necessities and natural predatories give them an otherwise dull, uneventful existence.
