Other forms of Bound Cultivation

Skill binding, a derivative of Core-binding, allows the Core-bound cultivator to peel off pieces of their core to form cores specifically to house skills, much like skill orbs. This form of cultivation simulates "toggleable" skills, where the cultivator only has to draw power from the cores to use the skills. This is primarily used by inexperienced fighters and crafters to more quickly and easily use their skills. The other types of binding that are eventually found, such as biological system binding, which binds the energy to particular biological systems instead of the body as a whole (specialized monks), and external binding, where cultivators bind their energy to an external object (priests and wizards exclusively), but these cultivation systems lead to strict specializations that are limited to certain types of people.


There is also suplimentary cultivation, which include the slave-cultivation method (illegal), the familiar-cultivation method, and the dual-cultivation method, two supplementary cultivation methods that bind two beings together as equals (pet to human in the case of familiar-cultivation, and human to human in the case of dual-cultivation). The legal forms of dual cultivation lead to mutual benefits as well as increased intimacy. These three cultivation methods (slave, familiar and dual cultivation) can be used in addition to another type of cultivation methods.
