The Great Workforce Hysteria

Businesses all over Britain and possibly beyond have taken such a massive hit in productivity so severe and so widespread that some predict a complete crash in the stock market, an event which would devastate the economy. This cascading effect started small, as many tend to do, with cases of workers, managers and even CEO's suddenly abandoning their positions for some unknown purpose. If not a complete and unannounced disregard for one's duties, some display behavior as though they have forgotten all education, training and otherwise aptitude for their job, and devolve into someone barely capable of performing the professional tasks they had previously done daily. While this is unusual it is not completely unbelievable on a small scale, however the magnitude of which this is happening and the time and money it takes to refill the gaping wounds left by this mass desertion and incompetence is crippling for any business.
